I'm a guy who loves words and pictures. Here you'll find a lot of both. I've blended words and pictures in what I call "phoems," which are photographs attached to poems, each playing off the other. I've done 56 of them, but because they don't seem to appeal to most people, I've only included four on this website. They may strike you as poignant, insightful, humorous, sarcastic or simply odd. I ask that you spend long enough with each of the examples on this site to discover some, and hopefully most, of the connections between the words and images conveyed through puns, double entendres, and ambiguity that express my unique (as far as I know) view of life and the world around us. To learn more about me and my creative process, or just to see some phoems, click on the links at the top or bottom of this page.
There's a photo gallery with a few dozen of my photos, a poetry section containing a few of my poems, a few of my short stories, a children's story called Nick and Moondog Save the Shadow People, and a biographical novel about my paternal grandfather, called Indian Lover.
Thoughtful comments, both positive and negative, on any or all of my work are welcome. Should you desire copies or prints of anything on this site, please contact me.
The site is a work in progress, and will be updated from time to time.
Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy.
